Support Tenants
Information about money
Tenants or Home Owners who are supported by the Consortium may have their own money and personal belongings.
You might be able to manage your own money, or you may need support from the Consortium staff.
If you do need support to manage your money, the Consortiums staff will help you fill out a Tenants Financial Support Plan.
This Plan will help you to understand what benefits you receive, and how much other money you may have. All the things to do with saving or spending your money will be written down in the Plan.
You can decide how much money to spend every week and also how much money you can save.
There are other people who can help you with your money, these may be called an Appointee or Receiver.
You can ask your keyworker to help you file your Financial support plan in your Service User Guide.
You should make a list of your valuable belongings. These might be Things like a TV or Radio, or special things like watches and jewelry or your CD and Video Collection.
Your keyworker can help you make your list. You can keep the list in your Service User Guide.
It is a good idea to pay for an insurance policy to protect your belongings in case they get broken or lost.
Ask your keyworker or Appointee if you want to find out how to get insurance to protect your belongings.
Don't forget, if you are unsure about anything to do with your money or your personal belongings, ask your keyworker or appointee for more information.
