Housing Support Coordinators Role
There are seven Housing Support Coordinators, each one working within one of the seven Networks. The Housing Support Coordinator works directly to the Network Contract Manager and supports the tenants and staff in their network in respect of tenancy and housing issues.
Tenants supported by the Consortium live in rented accommodation, owned by registered Social Landlords (RSL’s). The Consortium acts as Managing Agent for the RSL’s and Housing Support Coordinators carry out the day to day duties and responsibilities of the Managing Agent.
Housing Support Coordinators support tenants to understand, as far as they are able, their rights and responsibilities as tenants and work closely with their respective RSL to ensure that their homes are safe, in a good state of repair and decoration and continue to be suitable for their needs.
Housing Support Coordinators work together with Service Coordinators and staff within the tenants’ homes, to ensure that tenants’ housing needs are met and tenants enjoy their home and their environment whilst carrying out their responsibilities as laid down in the Tenancy Agreement.
