Other people and Information
In other Consortium videos , we have talked about some of the people who work for the Consortium, who provide help and information about every day things.
These people include Keyworkers, Service Coordinators and the Contract Managers.
However, there are other people working in the office in Walter Road who also provide support to help you with benefits, paying bills, sorting out your money and a lot of other things.
Please have a look at the Consortium’s Who’s Who document if you want to know who they all are. (You can ask your key worker for a copy of the Who’s who document?)
There are many other organisations and people who can give you information and advice on lots of different things.
These include your Social workers and Community nurse who are always available to help and support you.
Your Social Worker or Community Nurse can get you help from other people who work for Bro-Morgannwg Health Trust.
So always remember to ask your Social Worker or Community Nurse, if you want help with anything which affects your health or life in the community.
Other organisations you can contact include the Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales.
This organisation helps to make sure people who receive support in their own homes or live in registered care homes get a good service and are treated properly.
They visit care homes and will always talk to you about any concerns or problems you may have.
The information contained in the Service User Guide and the video that you have now been watching were both made with the help and hard work of the Consortium tenants group.
The tenants’ group meets every month at the Swansea Office. They talk to Consortium staff and suggest ideas to improve the service and support they get.
The tenants group always welcome support from new tenants.
The tenants group and the staff of the Consortium hope that they will provide you with all the information you need to enjoy living in your home whilst receiving support from the Consortium.
